MMM COFFEE!!!!!!!!

Tuesday was my first day working as a Starbucks Partner!!! The first day is called "First Impressions" for about 2 hours Steve, the store manager, and I sat and went over the basics, then there was the store tour. After some paperwork and reading I got to put on my green apron and go behind the counter!!! As soon as I got back there they were down to only two girls behind the counter, there was a long line of costumers, and a drink spilled EVERYWHERE! I helped clean up, then observed while the two girls made a mad dash to get the line moving, and everyone taken care of. Once it slowed down I got to make some Frappicinos!! It's not as hard as I thought it would be.


Today I had my "Starbucks Experience" class. I went over to the other Camarillo location, where there were 5 other new Starbucks partners from all over the LA area. From 10-2 we went over a lot of different information. We compared a commercial store bought coffee, to Starbucks House Blend, and discussed the difference in the two main types of coffee beans. We talked about the roasting process, as well as the packaging process. We watched a video on the history of Starbucks, and much much more. At the end we tasted 4 different kinds of Starbucks coffee. Tasting includes, smelling, slurping, locating and describing:-) Pretty much it was WONDERFUL!
